On 12th May 2012, an amazing number of 15 cadets and a Cdt Sergeant were given the opportunity to go flying on the Grob Tutors at RAF Woodvale.

It was the first time in the air for most of the Cadets as all but three has recently "Passed Out" from their training. This was their first weekend activity after being fully enrolled as a member of the Air Training Corps which is a fantastic start to their diverse cadet career.

When the cadets got the opportunity to fly the aircraft, the majority were able to experience aerobatics and further understand the fundamentals of the aircraft with of course, the twist of having a great time! - As part of their first class training, their theoretical Airmanships were put to practice to take them all a stage further.

Every single cadet were able to experience a flight alongside fantastic weather, Cdt Simmons said: “We had a really good day thank you to everyone who organised it and made it happen.”
