Round The World - 2012

    On 14-16th December cadets from 184 (Manchester South) Squadron will be flying "Round The World" in real time on the Squadron's new Flight Simulator. 

The flight's aims are to:

a.    To give the cadet SNCO team leadership & project management experience 

b.    To provide whole squadron team building that is aviation related 

c.    To raise Squadron funds 

d.    To provide the cadets with an experience they couldn't achieve alone 

e.    To improve the cadets awareness of the aviation industry.


    As a direct result of the flight, 184 Squadron has received a donation of £500 from Airbus UK. On top of this Airbus have offered the Squadron a guided tour of their factory during the Easter holidays.   

    The flight will not just include the flying aspect of a flight round the world. The cadets will also simulate the roles of Air Traffic Control, Flight Operations, Air Stewards, passengers and will set up airport style security when boarding.
