An unexpected visit from the Station Commander of RAF Woodvale, Sqn Ldr Middleton came down for the evening to personally thank all those cadets who helped marshal all the cars. It was estimated that 5000 people attending, although the actual number rounded up to 15,000 with about 3000 cars there were no accidents.

Sqn Ldr Middleton felt that it was just appropriate for him to recognise what we have done and as a sign of his thanks; the squadron has established a good relationship between the station and the cadets. We will be for the forthcoming months be organising many events that RAF Woodvale will be more than be happy to share their facilities. This includes Adventure Training, use of their airfield, assault courses and other more activities that the University Air Squadron do themselves but to share.

Many thanks to those cadets pictured above who attended, some were unable to attend the evening but 13 cadets attended with organisation and team working skills that resulted with such a successful day.
